Bohinj Lake is the greates natural lake in Slovenia.
Iz lays in the glacier valley.
The name Bohinj geographically speaking is the area that includes upper and lower Bohinj Valley (Bohinj is not a town altough there is a town by the lake Bohinj) and the lake Bohinj.
It is located southeast of Julian Alps.
To Bohinj we also consider nearby villages Koprivnik, Gorjuše and Nemški Rovt alling with mountains and hills in the nearby area.
Fishing on the lake is also possible.
Sometimes there is also possible to go ice skateing on the lake, when the surface freezes.
